A firm believer in garnering knowledge from the viewpoints of those around him, Mr. Kumavat labours to hold a mirror to the society with his craft. His carved pieces are priceless as they are congregations of human emotions and knowledge. He finds inspiration in the mundanest of things in life, attempting to make the mundane look extraordinary with the medium of his craft. His cognizance and passion for his art made him an overjoyed recipient of the National Award in 2006.
