A passionate Madhubani artist turned entrepreneur, Hema Devi is truly an inspiration for women empowerment. Not only did she give centuries-old Madhubani art a contemporary touch, but she also turned out to be a messiah for thousands of craftswomen who honed their artistic skills under her and embraced their newly found financial independence. Born in a family of Madhubani artists, Mrs. Hema’s interest in this art developed at an early age of 15. With time, she worked diligently on her skills and her sheer dedication made her a celebrated recipient of the National Award in 2016.
